WITH[out]WASTE
Redefining Fashion through Sustainability and Social Impact
IMPARI collaborates with partners like Code for Africa to nurture talent and champion sustainable practices. Through initiatives like "Nnoboa Space" and "WITH[out]WASTE" in Ghana, the brand empowers young artists and designers by equipping them with skills in sustainability and business innovation.
IMPARI’s pioneering approach includes transforming waste materials into custom prints using 3D scanning technology and creatively repurposing plastic waste to craft unique designs. By merging fashion with environmental responsibility, the brand seeks to make a lasting impact through its products and educational initiatives.
WITH[out]WASTE
The "WITH[out]WASTE" project, recently launched by IMPARI, focuses on turning plastic waste into sustainable fashion materials. By working closely with local communities in Ghana and collaborating with various organizations, the initiative transforms discarded plastics into high-quality filaments and threads, which are then used to create eco-friendly fashion pieces.
„WITH[out]WASTE“ aims to revolutionize waste management by transforming plastic waste into versatile filaments for 3D printing and high-quality threads for textiles. The project addresses the growing environmental crisis by recycling discarded plastics, like bottles and packaging, and converting them into sustainable raw materials.
Through innovative processing techniques, the plastic waste is broken down and re-engineered into different key products:
3D Printing Filament: This filament can be used for various industries, from fashion to product design, enabling eco-friendly production of custom items, prototypes, and components with minimal waste.
Threads for Textiles: The second product is durable, high-quality thread, which can be woven into fabrics, creating sustainable clothing and accessories. By incorporating these recycled threads into fashion, we complete the cycle of textile production and advance toward a future free of waste.
„WITH[out]WASTE“ doesn’t just recycle plastics; it redefines them, promoting a circular economy that drives innovation, reduces waste, and fosters environmental responsibility. This project not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates educational programs, empowering participants in Ghana with the skills to contribute to a more sustainable future.
